Deutsche Bank Faces First German Top Court Swap Case

Local governments and companies sued Deutsche Bank claiming that it sold them its home-made swaps without adequately disclosing their risks.

The Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe (Germany) heard a claim on 8th February. The Altenstadt, German company says the bank did not provide proper information about risks of an interest-rate swap. Deutsche Bank was the adviser to its customer and the seller of the swap at the same time.
